Relax. Breathe in. The smell of three credits, not Rotorua's sulphuric steam.
When you purchase the Linear Algebra exam, you will be given scenarios with numbers (eg. running times or the cost of buying drinks). You will be asked to compare different sets of numbers (eg. running times or drink prices) to determine which is the best (eg. the fastest or the cheapest).
For example, you might have to compare the price of buying a soda for a party from different shops in order to work out which is the cheapest option. For your exam, you will need to answer three types of questions related to this scenario:
(1) Show the different options you have (on a graph or table)
(2) What is the best (cheapest) option?
(3) How could you change the scenario to improve the outcome?
This assessment is based on on the NZQA 91029 achievement standard (version 3) document.
For this internal all you need to bring with you is a willingness to learn!
If you've sat a similar standard in the past that has now expired, you cannot get the same credits a second time. Check the 'Exclusions List' to see recently updated standards.
